Grown Locally in Richmond, Ontario

We’re Gillian and Ashley, two cousins behind Four Petals & Co., a small-scale flower farm in Richmond, Ontario.

What began as a shared love for flowers has grown into a small farm rooted in seasonal beauty, community, and creativity. We are learning and growing alongside our gardens, and one of the best parts has been watching each day bring something new.

Our flowers are grown in small batches and arranged with a natural, garden-inspired style. We love creating fresh, local bouquets for homes, events, businesses, and community spaces, and we are so excited to share beautiful, farm-fresh flowers with our community all season long.

Flower Care & FAQ's

How long will my bouquet last?

With proper care, most Four Petals & Co. bouquets will last approximately 7–10 days, with some flower varieties lasting even longer.

Where should I keep my bouquet?

For the longest vase life, place your bouquet away from direct sunlight, away from heat vents, fireplaces, and radiators, away from fans or air conditioners, and away from ripening fruit, which releases ethylene gas that can cause flowers to age more quickly.

How often should I change the water?

Refresh the water every 2–3 days. Wash the vase with warm, soapy water before refilling it to help prevent bacteria from growing.

How do I make my bouquet last as long as possible?

Start with a clean vase. Fill it with fresh, cool water. Remove any leaves that will sit below the water line. Trim ½–1 inch off the stems at a 45° angle before placing them in the vase.

Should I trim the stems again?

Yes! Re-cut the stems by about ½ inch every 2–3 days. Fresh cuts allow the flowers to absorb water more easily and stay hydrated.

My flowers arrived with closed buds. Is that normal?

Absolutely! Many flowers are harvested before they are fully open so you can enjoy watching them bloom over the coming days.

Why are some flowers wilting before others?

Each flower variety has its own natural vase life. As individual blooms fade, simply remove them so the rest of the bouquet continues to shine.

Should I use the flower food?

Yes! Flower food provides nutrients and helps keep the water clean. If you don't have flower food, changing the water regularly is the next best way to keep your flowers fresh.

Why choose locally grown flowers?

Our flowers are grown with care in Richmond, Ontario and harvested fresh for every bouquet. Unlike many imported flowers that spend days in shipping and storage, our blooms are cut close to the time you receive them, giving you fresher flowers with vibrant colour, beautiful fragrance, and exceptional quality.
